PECO offers rebates for replacing older, inefficient appliances, and heating and cooling equipment, with new high efficiency models. For a list of qualifying equipment, visit peco.com/rebates or call 888-5-PECO-SAVE (888-573-2672). PECO rebate applications can be completed online, or mailed along with proof of purchase for the appliance or equipment purchased and installed.
The PECO Energy Efficiency & Conservation Plan was filed with the PUC in July 2009 as a result of Act 129 being passed by the Pennsylvania Legislature and signed by Governor Rendell the year before. The PUC has ruled to grant several extensions to the PECO Energy Efficiency & Conservation Plan, enabling customers to continue to reduce energy consumption and take advantage of PECO Rebates.
This program is currently available through 12/31/2024. Rules and rebates may change, and funds are limited and subject to availability. For more information on how you can get started, visit www.peco.com/rebates or call 888-5-PECO-SAVE (888-573-2672).

Yes. Rebates must be submitted online or must be postmarked within 90 days of purchase to be eligible for a rebate. Rebate forms may be submitted online, by fax or by email.
The easiest and fastest way to receive your rebate is to submit your application online. You may also download a form to print and fill out if you prefer.
Rebates are processed and paid in the form of a check within 4-6 weeks from the time we receive your complete submission.
Any qualified appliance or equipment is eligible for a rebate, regardless of where it was purchased as long as it is installed in a PECO customer’s home and the customer can provide a copy of the paid receipt.
Please contact your contractor or retailer for this information.
PECO does not inspect installations to verify quality or safety. However, PECO will randomly inspect equipment to verify qualifying equipment was installed. If you are selected for an inspection, PECO will contact you.

No, you are not eligible to apply for a furnace or an air-conditioner rebate if you have applied for a heat pump rebate for heating and cooling the same section of the home. Because PECO only provides a rebate for the primary heating source, these rebates cannot be combined. Additional equipment may qualify for rebates if it provides heating and cooling for other sections of the home.
SEER is Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. EER is Energy Efficiency Ratio. HSPF is Heating Season Performance Factor. SEER, EER and HSPF ratings are determined by entering the model number of the indoor coil, the outdoor unit and in many cases, the air handler/furnace into the AHRI directory (www.ahridirectory.org). If the complete system does not meet the program requirements, you will not be eligible for a rebate.
When furnaces produce heat, they need a motorized fan to circulate the air. An ECM furnace is equipped with an ECM (electronically commutated motor) to circulate hot air into the ducts that run through the walls of the building. ECM fan motors typically use significantly less electricity than traditional furnace fans.
All of our rebates require documentation along with the application for auditing purposes. The Natural Gas Conversion Rebates are provided with the intent to increase natural gas usage. PECO therefore requires proof that natural gas is replacing a primary heating source.
An example of proof of conversion is typically a statement on your contractor’s invoice describing removal of old equipment or the addition of new gas line.
In most cases, yes, your furnace or air handler must be high efficiency. The PECO Rebates Program requires SEER and EER ratings for a complete system as rated by AHRI. Check with your contractor to determine if your complete system qualifies for the PECO rebate. Your Contractors should be able to confirm the system rating in the AHRI database and confirm the eligibility for you.
