BEFORE YOU BUY: BE AWARE! Some manufacturers use “up to” SEER/SEER2 efficiency ratings on their documentation. PECO rebates are not based on “up to” ratings, but on actual, whole-system ratings. Ask your contractor if the equipment is eligible for a PECO rebate before purchasing. We’re also here to help! Email us [email protected] if you have further HVAC rebate questions.
Rebates for heating and cooling equipment are based on ENERGY STAR criteria. The equipment is rated as a whole system by the Air Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) with ratings designated as SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2.* Some older models are still rated using equivalent SEER, EER & HSPF ratings. “Current” and “Equivalent” rebate requirements are displayed when expanding the information boxes below.

Rebates for customers with PECO Electric service

ENERGY STAR Air Source Heat Pump - Up to $300 in rebates
$200 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements
- Current: 15.2 - 17.0 SEER2, 11.0 EER2, 7.8+ HSPF2 as certified by AHRI
- Equivalent: 16.1 - 18.3 SEER, 11.46 EER, 9.2+ HSPF as certified by AHRI
$300 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements

Rebate Process
- Refer to your proposal/invoice to verify that your equipment is ENERGY STAR® certified and meets all criteria in the above chart.
- Verify other eligibility requirements:
- Product must be new, meet Efficiency Requirements, and installed in a residence that currently receives PECO residential electric or natural gas service (based on the fuel type for the equipment installed)
- Application for purchased/installed equipment must be submitted within 90 days of purchase/install
- Application must include a paid receipt with the model number, manufacturer, purchase price, and purchase date
- Apply in one of 3 ways:
- Ask your contractor to submit a rebate application on your behalf
- Submit an online application
- Mail the application PDF
