BEFORE YOU BUY: BE AWARE of “up to” SEER/SEER2 ratings shown on manufacturer documentation. As described below and on HVAC rebate applications, our rebate eligibility is not based on “up to” ratings, but on AHRI “whole system” ratings. Ask your contractor about rebate eligibility before purchasing your equipment. We’re also here to help! Email us at [email protected] if you have further HVAC rebate questions.
Rebates for heating and cooling equipment are based on ENERGY STAR criteria. The equipment is rated as a whole system by the Air Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) with ratings designated as SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2. Some older models are rated using the Equivalent, previously used SEER, EER & HSPF ratings, as shown in the tables below.

Rebates for customers with PECO Electric service
ENERGY STAR Air Source Heat Pump
$200 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements
- Current: 15.2 - 17.0 SEER2, 11.7+ EER2, 7.8+ HSPF2 as certified by AHRI
- Equivalent: 16.1 - 18.3 SEER, 12.2+ EER, 9.2+ HSPF as certified by AHRI
$300 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements
ENERGY STAR Central Air Conditioning
$150 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements
- Current: 15.2 - 15.9 SEER2, 12.0+ EER2 as certified by AHRI
- Equivalent: 16.1 - 17.0 SEER, 12.5+ EER as certified by AHRI
$200 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements
ENERGY STAR Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump
$150 Rebate - must meet either the Current or the Equivalent ENERGY STAR minimum requirements
- Current: 15.2 - 17.0 SEER2, 11.7+ EER2, 7.8+ HSPF2 as certified by AHRI
- Equivalent: 16.1 - 18.3 SEER, 12.2+ EER, 9.2+ HSPF as certified by AHRI

Air Source Heat Pump Maintenance
$25 Rebate
- Check and Charge Refrigerant
- Inspect/Clean/Replace filters as needed
- Inspect Blower motor
- Inspect/clean condenser/if accessible evaporator coil
ECM Fan Motor
$50 Rebate
- Eligible for all ECM Fan Motor equipped Air Handlers or Natural Gas Furnaces (Propane and oil furnaces are not eligible)
Rebates for customers with PECO Natural Gas service
ENERGY STAR Natural Gas Furnace
$350 Rebate - ENERGY STAR
- 95.0 - 96.9% AFUE
- ≤ 2% Air Leakage
- Equipped with Electronically Commutated Fan Motor (ECM)
$600 Rebate - ENERGY STAR+
- 97%+ AFUE
- ≤ 2% Air Leakage
- Equipped with Electronically Commutated Fan Motor (ECM)
ENERGY STAR Natural Gas Boiler
$350 Rebate - ENERGY STAR Boiler
- 90%+ AFUE
$1,000 Rebate - ENERGY STAR+ Combi Boiler
- 94%+ AFUE
- Must be the primary system for both space heating and domestic water heating
Natural Gas Heating Conversion Rebate
$200 Rebate - Natural Gas Heating Conversion
- Conversion of main or sole heating fuel source to natural gas

Rebate Process
- Refer to your proposal/invoice to verify that your equipment is ENERGY STAR® certified and meets all criteria in the above chart.
- Verify other eligibility requirements:
- Product must be new, meet Efficiency Requirements, and installed in a residence that currently receives PECO residential electric or natural gas service (based on the fuel type for the equipment installed)
- Application for purchased/installed equipment must be submitted within 90 days of purchase/install
- Application must include a paid receipt with the model number, manufacturer, purchase price, and purchase date
- Apply in one of 3 ways:
- Ask your contractor to submit a rebate application on your behalf
- Submit an online application
- Mail the application PDF
